Carl Angiolillo
Since he was six years old, he's always wanted to design playgrounds; the only difference is that now he is interested in designing playgrounds of the mind…

Carl Angiolillo holds a degree from Amherst College in Theater & Dance and Computer Science. He has worked as an actor, director, dancer, set designer and lighting designer. Recently he designed award-winning playwright, Constance Congdon's new adaptation of Moliere's "The Misanthrope" which was published by Broadway Plays in 2003. While at Amherst, he designed Ibsen's "Hedda Gabler" and "Ghosts" as well as the 2004 Five College Faculty Dance Concert (in which he was also a performer). Other performances as actor and dancer include roles in "The Wild Party", "The Lonely Minutes Project, Preserved: Four Ways of Looking Up", "The Marriarrage or Men Die First" and "Pastel City".

In the summer of 2005, Mr. Angiolillo designed lighting for International Opera Theater's production of Troy Herion's "Il Racconto D'Inverno". He also served as the stage manager.

In addition to his work in the theater, Carl hopes to pursue his interests in "human-computer interaction" and convince people to pay more attention to the most complex and fascinating part of the computer -- the human using it.

"The invention of paper, canvas, or the camera eventually led to the development of writing, painting, and photography respectively. The computer is no different. It will take time before artists become comfortable enough to use a fraction of its potential."
